** Please Note: Students must have a signed permission form in order to hold any class pet. Please also be aware that Jafar (the ball python) can only be held for short periods of time. Snakes require a quiet and calm environment so opportunities to hold him will be limited. They also can not be held within 24 hours of being fed. Additionally, when they are shedding, they can't be held. ** 

We hope to take exceptional care of our class pets. In doing so, we also hope to encourage our students to respect living organisms and learn how to care for them. Our biology students will have the privilege of helping clean cages and care for our pets as their comfort levels allow and with parental consent. However, all students are encouraged to observe and learn about the various pets on campus. Prior to handling any pets, parent permission forms must be completed and returned to CCA.
